ResisTek manufactures ceramic ball valve components as per customer specifications in many formulations for solving various highly abrasive, and/or highly corrosive fluid-handling applications. Alumina, zirconia, or silicon nitride formulations can increase the working life of process equipment wherever wear, corrosion and thermal problems shorten the life of ball valves. 99.5% alumina ceramic ball valve is our most chemically inert and acid-resistant formulation.
Handling of Applications Include:
coal; limestone; fly ash; salt; kaolin pulp; ferric chloride; titanium dioxide; chromic acid chlorine; sulfite crystals; sludge; acetic acid; and bromine.
Process Industries We Serve
• Mining & Minerals
• Paper

Characteristics
Corrosion: 99.5% alumina ceramic is virtually inert to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals. They do not interact with, nor contaminate the process media. They are physically and chemically stable against most acids and alkalis, and offer years of service with little or no corrosive degradation.
Abrasion: 99.5% alumina ceramic is 43% harder than zirconia, 140% harder than porcelain, and 730% harder than stainless stell, and indication of the long term wear resistance properties of our valve materials.
